Emergency Burst Pipe Repair in Beverly Hills, CA
Service: Emergency Plumbing | Location: Beverly Hills, CA | Result: Completed same day
The Problem
A Beverly Hills homeowner on North Bedford Drive called at 2am after a copper supply line under the kitchen sink burst and began flooding the kitchen and adjacent hardwood floors. The homeowner had located the under-sink shutoff but it was also failing and not fully stopping the flow.
What We Found
We arrived within 45 minutes, shut off the main water supply at the meter, and assessed the damage. A 1/2-inch copper supply line had developed a full split at a solder joint that was original to the home. The under-sink angle stop had also failed and needed replacement.
What We Did
We replaced the failed copper supply line section and installed a new 1/4-turn angle stop shutoff valve. We tested the repair at full pressure, confirmed zero leaks, and restored water to the home. We also checked water pressure which read 110 PSI and recommended a PRV replacement to prevent future pipe failures.
Result
Flooding was stopped and full water service was restored by 4am. The homeowner scheduled a PRV replacement for the following week. Total job time: 90 minutes.
